Remember when Koinonia had a party to celebrate Barry’s victory?

Every so often I like to pull this particular blog out and dust it off. When I do, I think back to 2008 when Obama was seen by many short-sighted individuals to be the saviour of the free world. Especially stuck in the corners of my mind are the folks at Koinonia down in Southwestern Georgia in the USA. Led by two of the most controlling, manipulative people — the Prendergasts — that I have ever seen in my life, Koinonia actually had a party to celebrate the new world order that they thought was being ushered in. Well, in light of the latest scandals and such as the country is finding itself in this Monday morning, I thought I’d drag it out one more time. I love it when I can tell people like the Prendergasts, “I told you so”.

With that said, here’s the blog.

America needs a large paper bag. When someone hyperventilates, the first thing the medics do is put a paper bag over their mouth forcing the person to inhale their own carbon dioxide and thus slow down their breathing.

Breathe America — take a deep breath.

As excited as we all are with the history of the moment — we’ve just inaugurated the first black President of the United States — it’s very possible that our group psyche will lead to the worst kind of disappointment and frustration.

Obama is breathlessly compared to FDR, JFK, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

So far — all he has done is win an election.
